Abstract

Apart from conservative therapies for post prostatectomy incontinence, surgical interventions are used to treat major ailments. The gold standard procedure involves the implantation of a synthetic sphincter. For minor complaints, minimally invasive procedures, such as the assessed retroluminal transobturatoric reposition sling (AdVanceTM system) are applied. The systematic Review could not identify any studies which fulfilled the inclusion criteria. It was therefore not possible to make a reliable statement regarding the effectiveness and safety of this new intervention.
